Roger Williams Park Picture Post #1

Roosevelt Lake is at the inflow to Roger Williams Park. Roosevelt Lake is susceptible to cyanobacteria blooms in the warmest weeks of summer, we are hoping to document the blooms with this picture post. Many stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs) have been established around Roger Williams Park to improve water quality by filtering and reducing nutrient levels. Stormwater BMP 7A/7B (bioretention area) is located on the opposite side of the pond and non-structural stormwater BMP 8 (shoreline tree plating) is located on the north side of the lake. With this picture post we hope to document vegetation, sedimentation and erosion changes to the stormwater BMPs. www.stormwaterinnovation.org
