Roger Williams Park Picture Post #3

Polo Lake is susceptible to cyanobacteria blooms in the warmest weeks of summer, we are hoping to document the blooms with this picture post. Many stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs) have been established around Roger Williams Park to improve water quality by filtering and reducing nutrient levels. Stormwater BMP 17/18 (bioretention area) is located to the north of this post and non-structural stormwater BMP 16 (shoreline tree plating) is located on the south side of the lake. With this picture post we hope to document vegetation, sedimentation and erosion changes to the stormwater BMPs. www.stormwaterinnovation.org
